Analysis: No. 1-rated JUCO WR Brandon Martin an important get for Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE — With four senior wide receivers leaving after this season, it was imperative that Arkansas not only replenish numbers at the position, but add pass-catchers that could make an immediate impact.

That seems to be the case with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College four-star wide receiver prospect Brandon Martin (6-4, 225 pounds, 4.37), who committed to Arkansas on Wednesday over offers from LSU, Auburn, Mississippi State and others, and who will have three years to play.

Martin, ESPN’s No. 1 ranked wide receiver and No. 2 overall junior college prospect, had 23 catches for 327 yards and 4 touchdowns this season.
