Allen dedication shows in diet, pass sessions

FAYETTEVILLE — Austin Allen is fully committed to being Arkansas’ starting quarterback and all that entails, including throwing three times a day with different receivers and giving up Taco Bell.

The 6-foot-1, 209-pound junior did both over the summer, changing his physique for the better by ditching the fast food in favor for salad. His go-to salad?

“Little spinach with the blueberries, little chicken, little raspberries, dressing,” Allen said. “It’s good.

“I don’t know if you can tell or anything.”

He’s also willing to throw whenever, up to meet any of Arkansas’ pass catchers for a session, evidenced by making three separate trips to campus in one day this week to fit everyone in who wanted to catch passes from QB 1, starting with tight ends at around 8 a.
