FAYETTEVILLE — Brandon Allen has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Game, he told reporters Wednesday.
The fifth-year quarterback had a breakout season in 2015, completing 65.1 percent of his passes for 3,125 yards and 29 touchdowns while throwing only seven interceptions.
He already owns the UA single-game (7) and career (63) records for touchdown passes and needs just three more to tie Ryan Mallett's single-season record set in 2010.
Allen is the only quarterback in Arkansas history to throw more than five touchdowns in a game, completing six against Ole Miss and seven against Mississippi State this year.
