FAYETTEVILLE — For the second time this season, the Arkansas men’s basketball team entered halftime with a deficit against a mid-major opponent.
The Razorbacks trailed Texas-San Antonio 32-27 at the break at Bud Walton Arena on Saturday, getting within that margin because of D.J. Wagner’s three-pointer that sank just before time expired.
They shot 38% from the field and had 8 turnovers, leading to many missed opportunities throughout the opening 20 minutes.
Arkansas coach John Calipari took most of his allotted halftime minutes, with Arkansas returning to the court with about 3 minutes until the second half was slated to begin.
