8-run inning powers Arkansas baseball to Game 2 win over Ole Miss

Arkansas center fielder Justin Thomas led off the top of the fifth inning Saturday night, and by the time he came back to the plate about 20 minutes later there were still no outs in the inning.

Thomas’ infield single sparked an 8-run inning for the third-ranked Razorbacks and Arkansas won 12-3 at No. 15 Ole Miss to tie the series at a game apiece. The win was coach Dave Van Horn’s 900th in 23 seasons with the program.

The Razorbacks (17-2, 1-1 SEC) will try to take the series Sunday when the teams are scheduled to play at 1:30 p.
