FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas will play one of the most talented teams in college baseball Saturday in Omaha, Nebraska.
Virginia was a consensus preseason top-5 team coming into 2015 and rose to No. 1 in some polls after starting 12-1.
However, the Cavaliers went 22-21 the rest of the season, including three straight losses in the ACC Tournament, and sneaked into the NCAA Tournament as a 3 seed in the Lake Elsinore Regional.
They made the most of the appearance, sweeping through the regional by beating 2 seed USC twice and 4 seed San Diego State once.
