FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas’ two failed fourth-down attempts were worth a potential 10-point swing in favor of LSU on Saturday.
The decisions were magnified in light of the Razorbacks’ 13-10 loss to the seventh-ranked Tigers.
With Arkansas leading 3-0, quarterback Malik Hornsby was tackled for no gain on a fourth-and-goal run from the LSU 3 in the first quarter. In the third quarter, with the Razorbacks trailing 6-3, Hornsby scrambled for a 12-yard loss on fourth-and-2 from the LSU 48.
The Tigers took possession at the Arkansas 40 after the second failed conversion attempt, setting up a short field for their only touchdown of the game.
