FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas center fielder Braydon Webb and relief pitcher Brady Tygart earned player of the week awards Monday.
Webb was named the SEC’s position player of the week and Tygart was the league’s freshman of the week. It was the first time either player has won the awards.
Webb had multiple hits in all four of Arkansas’ games last week against Central Arkansas and Ole Miss. He finished the week 8 for 14 with 2 home runs, 1 double, 4 RBI and 4 runs scored.
Tygart threw five shutout innings over two appearances against Ole Miss.
