After losing seven straight road SEC games (four this season and three last year) the Arkansas Razorbacks finally won a conference game, beating Vanderbilt this past Saturday.
The Hogs beat Vandy 77-75 when Michael Qualls hit a three-pointer with 2.6 seconds left in the game. Qualls, who was suspended for one game along with teammate Alandise Harris, has proven to be clutch for the team in some important games.
Fans began to tweet using #Quallinthehogs as Arkansas won the game, and the raucous crowd helped the Razorbacks beat Vanderbilt in just about every aspect of the game.
Was it the anthracite uniforms the Hogs debuted? Was it the complete performance from all the players? And will they be able to do it again against Missouri?
Arkansas' first road win of the season could be the confidence booster they need to continue to win more games away from home. Missouri is a tough opponent, and the Hogs will have to be at their best if they want to win. Free throws, three pointers, minimal turnovers and rebounding will all be key.
Star players Michael Qualls, Rashad Madden and freshman Bobby Portis will also have to keep up the momentum.
Missouri is coming off a loss to Ole Miss, so this will be the Razorbacks' opportunity to prove to everyone that they are contenders.
