An SEC Coach Is Telling His Players To Target Injured Opponents

Arkansas Razorbacks head football coach Bret Bielema isn't exactly buying into the safety-first approach to the game that's being preached by the NCAA at its highest levels.

In fact, Bielema has a slighty deranged take on how he wants his kids to approach game days on the gridiron.

Courtesy of the Arkansas News:

“When you’re a boxer and you see someone bleed, you want to go after that cut eye,” Bielema said. “I always used to tell players, when you see a guy bleeding — and he doesn’t necessarily need to have blood coming out of him — but if he’s holding his knee or he’s holding his wrist, or he’s bent over, or he’s holding his leg or he’s working his ankle out, go after that baby."

While Bielema was probably just trying to fire up his defense after a 45-21 shellacking at the hands of Auburn, we're still going to avoid getting on the 44-year-old SEC newcomer's bad side...just in case.
