GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Little Rock baseball's Keenan Wingfield was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year preseason watch list, the association announced on Monday.
Wingfield, a junior college transfer from Navarro College, was one of 70 Division I pitchers named to the initial watch list and was one of four Sun Belt Conference pitchers.
The NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award is given annually to the top relief pitcher in Division I baseball. A midseason watch list will be issued by the NCBWA on April 27.
