MONROE, La. – The Little Rock offense showed up in a big way this afternoon down in Louisiana, putting up nine runs in the first three innings and denying a comeback attempt to eventually triumph over the Warhawks by a score of 12-7. The win improves the Trojans record to 14-11 on the season entering a weekend series back at Gary Hogan Field against UT Martin.
ULM jumped out to an early lead in the first inning after a walk and double put runners on second and third with no outs. A ground out to third would score a run on the very next batter, but Little Rock starter Camden Sargent was able to escape the inning without allowing further damage thanks to two more groundouts to second base.
