UCA uses late run to put away UALR

CONWAY -- The Central Arkansas women used a 15-2 scoring run in the final 5:16 to pull away from Arkansas-Little Rock and pick up its fifth win of the season 55-42 on Saturday afternoon at the Farris Center.

Sug Williams converted a layup with 4:19 remaining to pull UALR within 43-42, but that would be the final basket scored by Trojans as the Sugar Bears scored the final 12 points of the game.

Jade Upshaw and Kinley Fisher each scored 18 points to lead UCA. Leah Mafua also reached double figures with 11 points as the Sugar Bears found a way to win despite shooting 39.
