The UALR baseball team entered the Sun Belt Conference tournament as its highest seed ever but now face elimination after the tournament's first game.
No. 6 seed Georgia Southern scored four runs in the second inning to take a lead, then answered a UALR rally with two runs in the fourth and four in the fifth of a 13-4 victory at Bobcat Ballpark in San Marcos, Texas. The third-seeded Trojans will play either No. 2 South Alabama or No. 7 Texas-Arlington in a 9 a.m. elimination game Thursday.
The Trojans' issues Wednesday were the same as they've had all year: Pitching.
