Trujillo Preps for World Amateur Team Championships

LITTLE ROCK – George Trujillo will compete for Venezuela at the World Amateur Team Championships, beginning Wednesday in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

The four-day tournament will be played at Mayakoba El Camaleón Golf Club and the Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club (6,295 yards, par 72).

Conducted by the International Golf Federation, the World Amateur Team Championships are a biennial international amateur golf competition that rotates among three geographic zones of the world: Asia-Pacific, Americas and Europe-Africa.

Each team has two or three players, who each play 18 holes of stroke play over four days. In each round, the total of the two lowest scores from each team constitutes the team score for the round.
