LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Teal Battle led all players with 17 points but Little Rock as a team shot just 38.3 percent from the field and failed to stop a potent Coastal Carolina offense in a 68-48 loss Wednesday night at the Jack Stephens Center.
The home conference loss, Little Rock's first in 39 tries and over four years, came as the Chanticleers (14-2, 4-1 Sun Belt) recorded a 13-rebound advantage over the homestanding Trojans (5-11, 3-2).
Battle's steadily-growing consistency was one of the few bright spots for the Trojans as she reached double figures in scoring for the eighth time in nine outings and nearly recorded her second career double-double, grabbing seven rebounds.
