CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Little Rock couldn't recover from an eight-minute, first-half scoreless stretch in a 92-34 loss to Illinois at State Farm Arena Monday night.
The Trojans (3-4) only trailed 20-13 following Jordan Jefferson's three-pointer with just over 11 minutes to play in the first half. However, the Illini (5-1) scored 21 unanswered points to break the game open. Illinois led 45-15 with 2:27 left. Little Rock trailed 51-19 at halftime.
The second half didn't get much better for the Trojans as Illinois began the second half with a 16-6 run and led by 42 points with just under 11 minutes to go in the game.
