CONWAY, S.C. – led Little Rock with 11 kills and 10 digs but two close sets didn't go Little Rock's way as Coastal Carolina claimed a 3-0 win, halting the Trojans' six-game winning streak at the HTC Center in Conway Friday evening.
Little Rock (9-4, 0-1 Sun Belt) dropped the opening frame 25-23 and then fell in extra points, 31-29, in the second set before a 25-17 third set clinched the match.
Coastal Carolina (7-4, 1-0) didn't help their cause much, serving up 11 service errors in the block. Six of those serving miscues came in the opening set, a frame in which neither team led by more than two points at any given time.
