Hemphill, the freshman forward, nearly had a double-double after scoring 10 points while also drawing six fouls, including two charges drawn.
But the Trojans (10-14, 8-5 Sun Belt) ended the game being out-rebounded 43-29 and Saturday's contest marked the second straight game Little Rock shot under 30 percent from the field.
UT Arlington (15-10, 9-4) shot 43.4 percent from the field as the Mavs went 23-for-53 in the game.
