LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock's fifth annual Golf Shamble once again proved to be a major success, bringing in close to $55,000 to help support Trojan student-athletes. The event, held Monday, August 26 at Pleasant Valley Country Club, also served as a way to recognize Kim Backus for his contributions to the Little Rock golf programs and athletic department.
"I feel very fortunate that Kim Backus and his family let us honor him at this year's Little Rock Shamble," said Director of Golf Jake Harrington. "Kim has done so much for Little Rock golf over the past 25 years and this is just a small way we could publicly thank him and show him how much he has meant and always will mean to Little Rock golf and our program.
