There are no moral victories in Neil Erisman.
But a 25-13 loss to No. 2 Oklahoma State can't take away from what Saturday afternoon at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock meant for his No. 16 University of Arkansas-Little Rock wrestling team.
The last time Erisman's Trojans squared off with his alma mater they suffered a 29-point defeat in 2022. In Saturday's dual, the Trojans (14-3) won three of the first five matches to open a 13-8 lead against the Cowboys (13-0) and only gave up bonus points in two of their seven defeats.
"It's just two completely different teams," Erisman said.
