LAFAYETTE, La. – Trailing by 14 in the second half, Little Rock once again staged a furious rally to take the lead in the final minute, outlasting Louisiana 69-66 at the Cajundome Saturday evening. The effort was sparked by career nights for both Ruot Monyyong and Kamani Johnson as they each registered career highs to spearhead the Trojan rally.
Monyyong finished with his fifth double-double of the season, scoring 21 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, going 9-of-13 from the floor and registering three blocks against the Ragin' Cajuns. Johnson finished with 19 on the night, scoring 11 in the opening half and tallying eight-straight points late in the second half to help push the Trojans into the lead.
