Men's DMR among nation's fastest, three other school records smashed in Kansas

TOPEKA, Kansas — The Little Rock Men's Distance Relay team stole the show at the Washburn Open over the weekend, not only establishing new school, facility, and meet records in the event, but recording the second-fastest time in the nation on the way to winning gold at Washburn University on Friday.

The team of Nick Newby (1200m), Juan Garza (400m), Devin Stevens (800m), and Andrew Payton (1600m) recorded a time of 9:43.80 in the event, breaking the school record by almost 15 full seconds. It was one of four school records set by the team over the weekend in Kansas.
