LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – With the women's basketball season less than a month away, coaches around the Sun Belt Conference have offered their prognostications on how the Path to Pensacola will play out, selecting Little Rock to finish fifth in the league's preseason poll.
The Trojans, entering their 19th season under the direction of legendary head coach Joe Foley, were picked to finish fifth in the league. Little Rock received 92 votes in the preseason poll, just three votes behind Texas State.
Foley has guided Little Rock to an appearance in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament semifinals in 13 of the past 14 seasons and has led the Trojans to six NCAA Tournament appearances, five WNIT appearances, 10 Sun Belt championships and 12 seasons of 20-plus wins.
