STATESBORO, Ga. – The Trojans (3-4-3, 0-1-1 Sun Belt) went to double overtime at Georgia Southern this afternoon, holding the Eagles scoreless to earn a point in conference play.
The game was slow in the first half, with Georgia Southern controlling most of the possession despite being unable to create any meaningful chances. "We came out sluggish," admitted head coach Mark Foster. "We were disappointed that we allowed that."
However, the Trojans came out with more fire in the second: "We talked about attitude in the locker room during halfway, and we came out to play with better energy and a better mindset," said Foster.
