BEAUMONT, Texas – Little Rock hit an impressive .291 as a team, tied a season-high six service aces and controlled play from start to finish in a straight-set win over Northwestern State in the opening match of the Lamar Invitational in Beaumont Friday morning.
The .291 hitting percentage is the second-highest on the season for Little Rock (47 kills and just 15 errors on 110 attempts).
Set scores were 25-22, 25-11 and 25-18 as Little Rock (4-3) was led by and , both of whom registered double-doubles.
But it was the effective hitting by and that stymied Northwestern State (2-7).
