LITTLE ROCK – In a new segment for LRTrojans.com, each month a different former Trojan will provide updates on what they have been doing since graduating from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. This month's letterman is former men's basketball player Alex Garcia-Mendoza.
Garcia-Mendoza, who is now married to the former Carissa Noriega and working as a Construction Project Manager, played for the Trojans from 2009-11 and was an important member of Little Rock's 2011 NCAA Tournament team. He started all 36 games and averaged 8.9 points as a senior, but is perhaps best remembered for his last-second shot to beat Arkansas State at the Jack Stephens Center in 2010.
