NEW ORLEANS – After recording her 1,000th career kill and leading Little Rock to a weekend sweep in Georgia, Little Rock's Laura Jansen has been named the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week.
The Trojans' senior outside hitter hit .300 and averaged 4.00 kills per set, leading Little Rock to a weekend sweep of Georgia Southern and Georgia State. In the process, she recorded her 1,000th career kill, making her just the 10th player in program history to achieve that milestone. She did so as part of a 32-kill performance over her two matches.
