BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Little Rock freshman Mia Dunning broke her own school record in the weight throw as action got underway at the Green and Gold Invitational hosted by UAB in Birmingham Friday evening.
The rookie thrower out of Green Bay, Wisconsin finished fourth overall and set a mark of 54-4.75 (16.58m) in the weight throw to break her own school record in the event. That topped her previous school record mark of 52-0.5 (15.86m), set last weekend in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Dunning wasn't alone in making strides in the event as teammate Alison Stephens registered a mark of 48-11 (14.
