Fresh off a career-best performance in leading Little Rock to an 11-1 win to complete a series sweep of Evansville, the Ohio Valley Conference announced Monday the selection of senior Jack Cline as Pitcher of the Week for the opening weekend of 2025.
Cline, a 6-3, 215-pound right-hander from Little Rock, tossed six brilliant innings Sunday, finishing with a career-high 10 strikeouts. Cline didn't allow a walk and scattered four hits across six innings with his only earned run coming in the sixth inning with the game well in hand.
The 11-1 win completed a sweep of the Purple Aces, who made an appearance in the NCAA Super Regionals last summer, and gave Little Rock its first 3-0 start since 2014.
