BOGOGNO, Italy – Former Trojan Matias Calderon has advanced to the second stage of Qualifying School on the European Tour.
Calderon tied for 25th place Bogogno Golf Resort in Bogogno, Italy. The Santiago, Chile, native shot 73-70-74-70 over four rounds and finished at 1 under par.
"I'm very excited about making it through. It was a tough week where anxiety played a big part, being this a different and bigger stage than I'm used to. The objective before coming here was to do my own golf and enjoy the experience, without thinking about the results, and luckily for me I was able to make it through.
