NEW ORLEANS – Little Rock Women's Basketball had two Trojans honored Thursday as Teal Battle and Mayra Caicedo received all-conference accolades. Receiving the 34th and 35th honors in program history, respectively, Little Rock has had an all-conference honoree in each of the 18 years Joe Foley has guided the program.
Battle received all-conference honors for the second consecutive season as she was named to the second team while Caicedo, in her first year in the league, received third team honors.
Twice matching her career-high 25 points in a game including in Little Rock's quarterfinal win over Georgia State, Battle continually stepped up to the occasion as the season progressed, finishing the year ranked third in the league in free throws made (80), fourth in total points (351) and field goals made (126) while ranking fifth in minutes played per game (34.
