JONESBORO, Ark. – Avianna Trinidad made a splash in her first-ever collegiate meet, vaulting into the third with the third-best pole vault mark in school history at the Scarlet and Black Invitational in Jonesboro.
Trinidad cleared a height of 11-075 (3.37m) Sunday evening, registering the third-best mark in school history and placing third in the meet. She was followed by teammate Lauren Hurrell, whose mark of 10-6.75 (3.22m) placed her fourth.
That would be one of nine top-three finishes for the Trojans. Colby Swecker led the way by winning the 800m with a time of 1:55.
