The Arkansas State women's basketball team got left out of the NCAA Tournament field again on Monday.
But just like one year ago, when ASU failed to get an at-large bid, the Red Wolves (26-5) will have at least one more home game.
It was announced Monday night that ASU will host Southern on Thursday at the Convocation Center in the first round of the WNIT in Jonesboro.
Sun Belt Conference rival UALR also received a WNIT bid. The Trojans (20-11) will play Thursday at Saint Louis in their first-round game.
ASU, which won the regular-season Sun Belt Conference championship before losing in the semifinal to eventual champion Troy, beat Western Michigan at home in the WNIT last season after being the highest-ranked RPI team to be left out of the field.
