Arena sellout next on UALR's wish list

One year ago today, the UALR men's basketball team had a losing record and was preparing to play Georgia State in front of 1,879 at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock.

The Trojans won that game, 92-83 over the eventual Sun Belt Conference champions, but it was their last victory of the season. They lost to Texas-Arlington and Louisiana-Lafayette to finish the regular season, and then to South Alabama in the first round of the Sun Belt Tournament.

Six days after that loss finished a 13-18 season, Athletic Director Chasse Conque fired Coach Steve Shields, the program's all-time winningest coach, after his 12th season.
