NEW ORLEANS, La. – Little Rock junior pitcher Aaron Funk has been named the Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week after a dominating performance against North Alabama Sunday. It is the first weekly honor for Funk and the second of the year for Little Rock.
Funk had a performance for the record books, striking out 17 batters in Little Rock's 2-1 win over North Alabama Sunday. He allowed just one run on four hits as the 17 strikeouts is a new program record, tying the Sun Belt record for most strikeouts in a game.
