11 in a row fine for Foley, Trojans

Coach Joe Foley is plenty happy to see two quarters of quality offense from his UALR women's basketball team.

That was all the Trojans needed Saturday to beat Texas State 57-45 at the Jack Stephens Center in Little Rock, and the victory clinched the No. 2 seed in next month's Sun Belt Conference Tournament for UALR.

Shanity James scored 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, while Alexius Dawn had 12 for the Trojans, who struggled offensively in Thursday's victory over Texas-Arlington.

On Saturday, UALR scored 19 points in the second quarter and 20 in the third, but managed just nine in the first and 10 in the fourth while committing 12 turnovers in those two quarters.
