The Arizona volleyball team didn't hold back on getting a win under their belt for the Pac-12 conference as they swept rival Arizona State in three sets Thursday night in (26-24, 25-18, 25-22).
Arizona State head coach Sanja Tomasevic coached her first conference game tonight, but was unable to get the win against Arizona head coach Dave Rubio.
Set one was close as the teams battled back-and-forth throughout the entire set, tied at 24. Arizona middle blocker Jade Turner and outside hitter Elizabeth Shelton’s blocking helped the ‘Cats get the win in the end 26-24. Turner and Shelton were leading the team in kills and blocks in set one.
