Arizona volleyball defeated Washington State Friday night in five sets, finishing 1-1 on the week against the Washington schools. The biggest highlight of the night was setter Penina Snuka achieving her 1,000th career dig for the Wildcats.
Arizona won in a five-set (25-18, 18-25, 25-23, 16-25, 15-13) nail biter. It was the first five-set match the team has won this season, dropping previous matches to Stanford and Texas.
The match was exactly what the UA needed after dropping a four-set affair to No. 6 Washington just days prior.
Kalei Mau led Arizona with 21 kills, while McKenzie Jacobson was second on the team in total kills, adding 11.
