Arizona made a concerted effort to use the NCAA transfer portal to beef up its linebacker ranks, signing four players from other FBS programs. Only three were expected to make it to the Tucson, but now the fourth is in the fold as well.
Treshaun Hayward, a former Western Michigan LB and the 2019 Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year, is expected to be in the mix when the UA begins preseason training camp on Friday, according to Michael Lev of the Arizona Daily Star.
Hayward, who signed with the Wildcats in February, was reportedly dropped from the program in May for undisclosed reasons.
