The Arizona Wildcats soccer team is set to head to Palo Alto on Friday to open Pac-12 play against the No. 1 Stanford Cardinal.
The Wildcats (7-1) have won seven in a row and find themselves ranked 19th in the latest TopDrawerSoccer poll. The Cardinal, who are the defending national champions, enter at 7-0-1, loaded with the most talented roster in the sport.
However, they had their 29-game winning streak snapped Sunday when they tied No. 7 Santa Clara, 1-1. Arizona played Stanford tough last season, falling 1-0 in Palo Alto.
We caught up with UA head coach Tony Amato and forward Jill Aguilera to reflect on that game, discuss the rematch, and more.
