BATON ROUGE, La. — One day after a rough start from pitcher Trish Parks in the circle doomed the Wildcats in a blowout loss, sophomore Michelle Floyd looked like she would open things up a bit better for Arizona.
That changed quickly.
So, the No. 12 Wildcats lost the game to No. 5 LSU, 10-5 in seven innings, ending their season in the Super Regional round at Tiger Park in Game 2 of a best-of-three series.
It's Arizona's fifth straight year without a berth in Oklahoma City for the College World Series, an all-time drought for UA coach Mike Candrea.
