Once the clock struck 5:15 p.m. on Saturday night at Sun Devil Stadium, Arizona’s regular-season schedule reached its expiration date.
That excuse, the running story line of Arizona’s football season finally, for all involved, came to end.
It was a gauntlet, playing 12 games in 12 weeks with no bye. It’s been written about plenty, talked about even more, but finally it was over.
