Tucson Roadrunners postpone Tuesday and Wednesday home games after Craig Cunningham medical event

On Saturday night, Tucson Roadrunners captain Craig Cunningham collapsed on the ice during pregame warmups. He was given chest compressions on the ice before being taken to a local hospital.

That night’s game was postponed, and the AHL announced on Monday that Tucson’s home games on Tuesday and Wednesday against the San Diego Gulls would also be postponed.

“Craig is a highly respected player and team leader in our league,” David Andrews, AHL President and Chief Executive Officer said in the statement. “The thoughts and prayers of the entire AHL family remain with Craig, his family and his teammates.
