Arizona softball outfielder and Tucson native Carli Campbell has entered the transfer portal, sources confirmed on Saturday. The news was first reported by Justin’s World of Softball.
The redshirt junior hit .275 in three seasons with the Wildcats, and was a key member of the 2019 Women’s College World Series team, starting in 24 games, including the final 15 of the season.
The left-handed slapper hit .242 that season and .300 in 2018 in 120 at-bats. Campbell appeared in 18 games in the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season, but only logged seven at-bats, losing playing time to freshmen Bella Dayton and Janelle Meono.
