Spain Game 2: Arizona Basketball beats Mataro All-Stars decisively 99-74

Related Topics: Arizona, Spain

The Arizona Basketball team and coaches have been exploring Barcelona Spain for the last couple of days, going to an Olympics site, taking in a Segway tour and visiting a beautiful cathedral with tons of stain glass windows. But today was game day, and the Cats took another win from a Spanish team. They are 2-0 on this trip so far.

What we didn’t want to see was injured Wildcats. Hopefully, none of the injuries suffered are too serious.

First half Notes:

  • Rawle Alkins, as reported by Bruce Pascoe, did not play due to a strained left shoulder, we hope he feels better, he did take part in in warmups
  • Mataro All-Stars much stronger team than the team they played on Sunday, can shoot the three
  • Allonzo Trier came out guns blazing in the first quarter with two back-to-back steals for buckets and a three – first half stats: 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals
  • Deandre Ayton scored ten points, all in the paint, a few big dunks, exciting.
