When her accident first happened, it didn't seem likely that Amy Van Dyken-Rouen would survive her spinal injuries. But she has done so much more than that. She has become an inspiration for anyone trying to come back from a serious event like hers, and the story just keeps getting better. She plans on attending the United States Swim Trials in late June now. This is an unbelievable turn of events for her, and just a reminder to everyone out there that if you think there's no coming back from something, there's always a glimmer of hope
