Arizona Wildcats quarterback Anu Solomon’s status for Saturday is in doubt after he landed on the UA’s weekly injury report.
Solomon is listed as questionable because of a knee injury suffered during practice Wednesday, when the Wildcats had to work out on the Arizona Stadium turf because of steady rain. The severity of the injury is not known.
If Solomon is unable to play in the home opener against Grambling State (7:45 p.m., Pac-12 Networks), redshirt sophomore Brandon Dawkins would make his first career start. Dawkins played extensively in relief against Arizona State last season and battled Solomon for the starting job all offseason.
