Arizona's head men's basketball coach Sean Miller would forfeit $1 million if he commits a major NCAA violation or is criminally charged related to his employment, under an amended contract going before the Arizona Board of Regents for approval this week.
“With this contract addition, Coach Miller has demonstrated his commitment to a program that follows the rules and the university has made it clear that it expects no less," said Tony Proudfoot, a spokesman for the University of Arizona.
This is in addition to "claw back" provisions that already exist in Miller's contract if he were to be terminated for cause.
