Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and a bunch of his fellow NBA stars went to Africa for a myriad of reasons. The main purpose was supposed to be the NBA Africa Game 2017, but there was plenty more experiences to be had by all. The game was played in Johannesburg, South Africa on Saturday, Aug. 5 at the Ticketpro Dome.

This is not the first time this exhibition game has taken place, the first game was in 2015. The game is played under the Basketball Without Border’s (BWB) organization and supports the following causes:

  1. UNICEF
  2. The Nelson Mandela Foundation
  3. SOS Children’s Villages South Africa (SOSCVSA)

The actual game is played between two teams, Team World (Non-African NBA Players) led by team captains Kemba Walker and Dirk Nowitzki.
